Q: What's the maximum distance that it could track to ?
8 years agoA: Tile's Bluetooth range is up to 100 ft. Bluetooth is most effective at the 30 ft. range, depending on the environment.

Q: This unit is disposable since the non-disposable battery dies after one year correct? So you buy a piece of electronic that is only good for one year and then you throw it out. Not the best investment unless they save your valuables worth more than the price of this unit.
8 years agoA: The unit can be replaced by “re-tiling” the product. Re-Tiling would allow you to return your dead Tile in exchange for a discounted new Tile with a fully battery. In terms of value, this product is designed to find lost items no matter how far away you are from your product by leveraging the Tile community – the value comes from saving time in searching for your lost item with no guidance, or to save yourself from having to repurchase a lost item that you cannot find (Wallet/keys/tools/purse/cars etc.)

Q: Are the units waterproof?
9 years agoA: Yes. Your Tile is waterproof up to the IP5 standard, as part of the International Protection Standards for waterproof ratings. Basically that means that your Tile can withstand getting pretty wet or splash-proof, but it’s not currently set for prolonged underwater use.
