Online promises of a Google Nest along with purchase are false. No transparency with this company. Trying to find tiles out in the "community" is fruitless. DOES NOT WORK!

I had the pleasure of testing this product and can say it does the job well. The Tile mate is a very easy to use tracking device that will help you find your keys or whatever you seem to lose often. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and with the Tile app, it will play a song, identifying the location of the lost item.
If you have your Tile Mate, but can't find your phone, pressing the button on the Mate will actually locate your phone and make it play a tone to help you find it. I found myself doing this a couple of times.
If the Tile Mate is out of Bluetooth range, but around other Tile users, it will update it's location on the map in the tile app. The more people that use Tile, the easier it is to find your lost items. Unfortunately, not too many people use it where I live, but in time it should get better.
Sometimes, it would lose connectivity to my phone and it would take a long time to re-establish that connection, but this didn't happen often.
Overall, the Tile Mate is an easy to use gizmo that I would recommend to anybody who keeps losing their keys in their house.

Love this Product

I was always curious about this product, when given the Opportunity to try it I was very excited. I tend to come home in the evenings and in my rush to walk the dog I just drop my keys / wallet in weird not usual places. This product has made it very easy when at the end of the day I forgot where I dropped my stuff to find it without looking in every room. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it!

Q: Any idea if this could be used to help find a Radio Controlled Aircraft that is lost in the bush. I recognize the maximum range is 100 feet but a search should get me within that range.

A: Yes tile can assist and is often used along with drones and radio controlled devices. It will search within 100 ft rage of any mobile device running the tile app Tile pro will search 200 ft range It will not provide precise location until within the 100 or 200 ft range if it left the 100 ft or 200 ft range of the device during flight

A: #035-5322 is a single pack of Tile Mate. Tile mate is the smallest. #035-5324-8 is Tile Slim, the larger Tile that is sold separately.

A: In close range, the Tile app finds your Tile through Bluetooth. So the range will be whatever your phone bluetooth is capable of. As an example, an iPhone 5 typically has a bluetooth range of 10 metres. In ranges outside of Bluetooth range, the Tile app will use the Tile community (all users with the app downloaded on their phone) to help anonymously search for your lost product. If another Tile user is within Bluetooth range of your product, you will be notified of its exact location.

A: The Tile Mate 0355322 uses a battery that is inside the product to work that will last for 1 year. In close range, the Tile app finds your Tile through Bluetooth. Q: If purchased from CT, will it be eligible for the one year upgrade at discount price offered from Tile, once the battery runs out ?

A: Yes, regardless of where Tiles are purchased, customers can chose to re-tile or re-purchase. Currently the Re-Tile program after currency exchange and delivery time makes re-purchasing at retail a viable option. Customers are also only allowed to re-tile once per year on one account. This also lends merit to re-purchase at retailer as there is minimal cost difference and no limitations .

Q: Would this be suitable to attach to your pets collar?

A: TileMate could easily be attached to your pet’s collar. However, the range of the Bluetooth product is only about 100 feet. If your pet were to go outside of this range, you would not be able to ring the Tile attached to their collar but would be able to see their last known location in the Tile app.

A: The Tile app can be downloaded on to an iPod touch so you are able to use the device’s Bluetooth to locate any lost items. The Tile device itself can also be physically attached to an iPod so you will be able to locate it if it were to get lost.

Q: What's going to keep a person from removing the tracker when they steal my camera, phone etc.?

A: Currently, the tracker can be held onto your item through a key chain, or with a strong double sided adhesive. It’s main goal is to find items that you misplace by accident. For stolen items, the goal would be to keep the tracker on an area of your item to make it as least visible as possible.
