Product Details

Ants can be a problem anywhere – in the home, at work and everywhere in between. To kill common household ants, place TERRO® Liquid Ant Baits in areas where they attract foraging ants that take the bait back to the nest. As the bait circulates through the colony, it kills the ants you see and the ones you don’t. The new and improved snap-off tab makes the stations easy to use. Plus, the closed bait stations prevent the bait from drying out to provide the ants with a continuous supply of liquid, day and night.

  • Attracts & kills all common household ants

  • Pre-filled, ready-to-use liquid ant bait stations

  • Stations prevent the liquid bait from drying out

  • Kills the ants you see and the ones you don’t

  • 6 bait stations per pack

My ants don’t really care

My ants don’t seem to care for this or even know it’s there. They walk around it

Hi, thank you for reaching us. I'm sorry that the product didn't work for you as expected. IT that It might be because of the developmental stage of the colony, the foraging ants will prioritize either protein-rich or sugar-rich foods. If the colony currently needs protein, they will ignore a sugar based food, or that the ants you have at home are not sweet-eating ants (fire ants, pharaoh ants, carpenter ants, and harvester ants)

Very messy. Liquid comes out too easy

We’re sorry to hear the TERRO® Liquid Ant Killer Baits were messy to use. For best results, place the bait station on a flat, level surface and avoid squeezing or tilting it when opening, as this can cause excess liquid to flow out. Keeping the station in one spot once opened can also help prevent spills and improve overall effectiveness.

Q: I put the traps down yesterday and see no more ants. Is it possible some young ones in the colony are not dead yet? Can I take up the traps now or if not how long should I leave them? Thanks for the great product!

  • A: I leave the traps out all the time as insurance against resistant ants; when they dry up, I replace them. Good product!

Q: Does it freeze and if so does that degrade it when it thaws?

  • A: The bate was used inside the house only. So I would not know if product frozen would affect the quality. Inside the home it works perfectly.

Q: What works with carpenter ants if Terro doesn't do the trick? I don't know if I have carpenter ants but they are big. Terro eliminated the vast majority of them. I haven't seen any in a couple of days but they might come back. You never know.

  • A: Every year we spray the perimeter around the building and use the big ant bait boxes, it seems to do the trick. Plus we use the small ant baits inside where we see any small ants.

Q: I've used two of the traps now, and both times, the liquid from inside the trap has spilled outside, creating a bit of a mess. Is it supposed to do that? If not, what should I be doing instead?

2 Answers
  • A: If the spills are occurring while you're opening: I held the trap upright and cut off the tip/opening, so all the liquid pooled in the bottom of the container while I was opening it. You should set the trap down (carefully) level to a flat floor surface to ensure it doesn't spill out. If it's tilted, the material could slowly seep out. Bugs causing spills: There's always the chance that the ants themselves are causing spills, in which case it's a bit unavoidable since they're climbing in/out with bits of the material–– I would put something underneath the trap (aluminum foil/newspaper paper) to protect your floors.

Q: Will this product destroy the entire ant colony?

2 Answers
  • A: Yes, this product is designed to deliver a slow kill, allowing the ants that consumer the bait to take it back and share it with the other ants, effectively eliminating both the ants you see, as well as the ones you don't.
