Red spot peels off

The red Thermo-Spot is a stupid gimmick that is peeling off into the food despite the fact that the pan is otherwise like brand new, and I always use plastic spatulas and a soft sponge to clean it. I will never buy another one, Tfal should get rid of their stupid red spot.

Q: Is the handle attached by a screw or a rivet?

A: I don't recommend the 28 cm or larger pan, it's too large for traditional coil burners. If you have a halogen or gas stove it would fit, but with a gas stove you should go with cephalon or anodized type non stick pans.

A: It is 26FP9E4, or AFJ 14B. Not a good frying pan. After we bought it the bottom bent. And the handle can't be tightened.

Q: does it scratch a ceramic stove top? I have a ceramic stove top and I'm concerned about it scratching it. I felt the bottom and it made me wonder if it would. Anyone have an answer for that?

A: It does scratch, we tried and it did. Had to return it. You don't even have to forcefully slide it and it will still scratch. Beware!

A: Hello. I use these pans all the time on my glass-top ceramic stove and I've never had a problem with scratches. If you really would like to still check for yourself, I would imagine the packaging label should give you that information. I have others pans that have notified me of such things on their labels.
