Love hate relationship

Yes it is a low end product... but a little thought into the design would have gone a long way. Cons: -can’t fill it in the bathroom sink, -can’t pour out all the water because of the design, -it makes a loud boiling sound the entire time, -the lid doesn’t lock on, -there is no indicator light to show it is on or even working... you can sit there for 15 mind and have no clue what is going on... fiddle with it, try a different outlet, do it all over again several times, and then suddenly it works... 30 mins later! waste of time.
Pros: affordable, it does the job if you don’t mind the cons

Way too loud

Pros: -cheap, -easy to install, -warm steam makes small bedroom warmer and less dry. Cons: -very loud gurgling sound all night long so impossible to sleep even with earplugs, -difficult to clean residue inside the weird shape plastic bowl, -steam can get too much making all things around it soggy. Returned; will wait for other more expensive and less noisy models to go on sale.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Wouldn't buy again

I bought this for our very dry but small apartment. While it's running it is almost as humid in the room as I'd like, but that goes away very quickly after it's off (~4 hours, as others have said).
The problem I have is that it's a pain to fill, but even more of a pain to empty. The water left over after running it smells funny, so you want to get it all out, but it's not possible, because the well is in the middle of the device. Arg. Very frustrating.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good product

I bought this recently, and it is quiet, compact and very affordable. The well for the vapo-liquid was somewhat precarious, but it still worked. I seems to shut off when out of liquid, even though this was not identified on the instructions. I believe this is a good, functional product that does the job for less of the cost.

Runs for 4-5 hrs like other reviews, no on or off switch.
Works for providing humidity in the bedrooms where I have them, especially in an older buildinh where we are.
I ready warm humidifiers are best and I liked the price of these and think I made a good buy.

Q: How loud is the humidifier? My present humidifier is quite loud (it sounds a bit like a boiling kettle) and I have been thinking of replacing it for one that is more quiet. If it produces a low shush sound that is fine with me.

Q: Where can I put essential oils? It says "add liquid Vaporizing inhalant only to well in front of of the steam outlet". WHAT WELL? There is nothing in front of the Steam Outlet... I have no idea where I can put my oils? Oils are the same thing as vaorizing inhalants, right?

Q: How do you clean the filter unit? Steam used to come out the top of my humidifier, but now all I get are bubbles. How do I clean the filter to make the steam come back? Is there a separate filter section to clean?

A: The water tray should be cleaned when you clean the filter. The water tray is a convenient way to carry the filter to prevent dripping. 2. Mix 1 gallon warm tap water with 1 teaspoon concentrated antibacterial liquid dish washing soap. 3. Fully submerge filter in soap solution for 15-20 minutes. 4. Dunk filter in soap solution several times then gently press to release the soapy water. Be sure not to wring, pull or scrub filter as this will degrade the filter. 5. Run under cool tap water until there is no soap remaining. Some discoloration may still be visible, this is normal and does not affect performance. 6. Gently shake or press the filter to remove excess water. 7. The filter can be put directly into the humidifier while still damp if it is to be used right away, or allow filter to dry completely if humidifier is to be stored.
