Not for flies

I bought this product a year ago, specifically to rid myself if does in the backyard. That did not happen. This product, like many others which are cheaper, does a good job on mosquitos. However, it claims to get rid of flies but does not kill not even one. Very disappointed. I could have bought a much cheaper product, I only wanted to get rid of mosquitoes. They should remove the claim that this system gets rid of flies.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I bought one two years ago. It worked great until it burned out. I got a replacement and it doesnt seem to work? It comes on, but it doesnt seem to repel the mosquitoes. Can you think of reasons it would do this that i could check before returning?

A: The UV light is meant to attract the mosquitoes towards the unit and the wire cage zaps them. I'm not sure why you want the light to repel them. If the UV light comes on and the bugs go towards the unit and get zapped, then the unit is working as it should.
