Easy to use and works well

Works great on many vehicles, including my 2009 Toyota Corolla. No assembly required, takes me about 5 minutes to put on and about 2 minutes to take off and is very tight once secured onto the vehicle. The instructions come with the settings for many vehicles types.

I bought this, excited to ditch the foam blocks to transport my kayak and use cross bars and a J rack instead. Alas, I tested it right in the parking lot. We fiddled with it for over a half hour. Despite the app confirming this product should work on a 2007 4 door Camry, none of the measurements in the manual were accurate. The clamps didn't completely close on the rear bar. The ones on the front bar did but stuck out so much that the doors wouldn't shut properly.
This is a shoddy product. The instructions are unclear and there were loose parts that did not appear anywhere in the instructions.
Finally, the box had clearly been tampered with. That's a Canadian Tire thing, not a manufacturer thing. But we checked in the store after and saw one other box that looked equally messed up.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Works great on 2009 Corolla

Got this for a 2009 corolla to fit a thule frontier box to, long and narrow. Followed the measurements I mounted it up and they seemed to be holding out perfectly. Mounted the box and then drove on the highway. Tightened up the box holder but the nuts on the rack seemed fine. Drove 6500 km in winter with these on and no issues aside from when freezing rain built up on the front of the bars and box creating some weird airflow noises until I knocked the ice off, not sure if it was the bars, the box, or both, but something about the ice made a weird airflow noise.
After I took them off in a couple of minutes the roof had to wear or tear to be found where the pads had made contact.
Overall excellent product for a temporary rook rack. Well three weeks and 6500km temporary.

Solidly built rack

Solidly built rack, was relatively easy to install. Seems expensive for what it is, but racks from big name makers are even more expensive. Had to mount in a slightly different location than that specified in the instructions. Also, a good idea to fill the locks with lithium-based spray grease to make them work smoothly and ensure you can get them off in the spring.

A: Hi Wayne, it might. There is a link to the product manual here on cantire website, and if you go to the product website it's definitely available there. I think they even have a spot to put in your vehicle make model and year and they'll show you which product fits.

A: Didn’t fit 2009 Honda Fit, had to bend all four brackets to ensure proper fitment. Works good after modification, used to transport small kayak.

Q: Who makes this brand? I own one & im trying to search up what the key looks like since it’s been a few years since we stored it & I don’t remember what the key looks like. But when it only says sportrack on it it’s harder to get info.

A: The brand is literally SportRack. The key has no marking on it, they are small with round end and has a few random digits on them. The manufacture actually sells replacement locks and keys if you can't find the old one. Just google SportRack key replacement, and it will bring you to sportrack.com
