    So far so good

Easily mounted on custom roof rack on van, one person install easy enough. About 5000km on it so far, fairly solid but thin plastic is a little flimsy, not thin enough to care about though. The locks are working well. I like that the stickers are removable to make it an all black box.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great Carrier For Great Price

Picked up this carrier for trip to East Coast. Tested it out first on weekend away in Wasaga Beach. Carried more than I expected. Freed up lots of room inside my SUV. Nervous about it coming loose but once I reached my destination all the bolts were still tight. Hadn't moved at all. The triple locking mechanism is smooth and VERY secure. Didn't need to adjust anything. No noise or rattling. REALLY impressed with it overall. Can't beat the price! Highly recommended for consumers on a budget.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Quite happy with the product

We purchased this container earlier this summer. Sportrack is a 'budget' name made by Thule. After doing the research (primarily over the way the box connects to the cross bars) I found that the Sportrack connection system is identical to the entry level Thule cargo boxes but at a better price. The cargo box comes assembled and is flimsy until mounted. The most challenging part (and I use this term loosely since it was not all that difficult) was just the original placement of the mounting bracket. I put the bracket on and then had to adjust it once I tried to put it on top of our CUV. Once the brackets are installed correctly for your situation, the box mounts in 5-10 minutes each time. Observations from out 2000km+ road trip this summer: -The box remained well fastened to my Thule Cross bar system. I did not need to adjust the fasteners at all. -The box when weighted down is reasonably quiet. When we first started out I thought I could hear the wind on the box, but after an hour or so it blended right into the background. Bear in mind an empty box will move and squeak so we always kept a bit of weight in it. -I found the stickers that came with the box kept the water out. We drove in quite a bit of rain and our car was left out for some torrential storms with the equipment left in it and I had no issues. -Nice feature: the key will not come out of the box until it is locked. You do have to be careful that your stored items are cleared of the lock contact point and the joints otherwise the key won't fully lock and you do risk snapping the key if you apply too much pressure. Overall I am quite happy with the product. There appears to be no discernible differences between the Sportsrack and the entry level Thule save for a premium on the Thule box. The mid and higher tier Thule boxes are probably much better but they are double the price.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    • A: I dont see any reason why not. If you can adjust your crossbars I think it would be ideal, worst come worst you can put additional holes to adjust hinges/clamps on the box to put on cross bars.

Q: Will this fit a 2011 Honda Odyssey with a factory roof rack?

    1 Answer
    • A: Regrettably, SportRack does not provide vehicle-specific fitment information for cargo boxes, however with a few easy measurements you can verify the fitment prior to purchase. If your vehicle is already equipped with a complete roof rack system that includes crossbars, we believe this cargo box will fit your 2011 Honda Odyssey. To be sure the box will not interfere with the rear antennae or hatch, we are able to provide some directions to measure your vehicle and ensure a fit prior to visiting your local Canadian Tire. Firstly, ensure the crossbars do not have a diameter greater than 3-3/4” as the u-bolt system on this cargo box will not accommodate oversize roof rack crossbars. Secondly, to be sure the box will not interfere with the rear hatch or antennae, this box will require a “front clearance” of 46-3/8”. If the length from your front crossbar to the rear hatch in the open position (or antennae) is more than 46-3/8”, it will fit without obstruction.
