Better than I expected.

Easy to use, effective and versatile. I have only used it in my car to clean vents and carpet stains. I now see many uses around the house for it as well.

Great little unit. My only complaint is the lack of insulation in places you have to touch. As we all know, steam is very hot, so it would be nice if the moveable parts had a bit more protection for your hands. Otherwise, it works and operates exactly as described.

very small power cord. You will be having to lug around an extension cord of you want to actually use it. Steam is luke warm most of the time so I have doubts of it's actual cleaning and germ/bacteria killing ability.
You can adjust pressure output by how hard you press down on the thumb trigger. Full pressure and it spits out water everywhere. Light pressure and the steam is cold. Leaves everything wet. (Steam is supposed to be hot and dry)
After it's third use, I noticed, while emptying unused distilled water, that it had a brown tint to it. Upon inspecting I also noticed the screw knob is corroded, as well as the inside elements and tank. This is likely the reason it has been crackling and spitting.
Hopefully a warranty replacement will be honored.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Works fine. Made well. Box was missing one of the small steam heads. Purchase on clearance to decided to suck it up.

Q: Can I use this for carpet cleaning?

A: This is a handheld steamer and could possibly clean a small area rug but isn't appropriate for full carpet cleaning. It doesn't hold temperature very well either so you'd likely just end up with a wet, not clean, carpet.

Q: Does this work on bedbugs? How hot is the steam?

A: I have bought this product specifically to get rid of bed bugs on my mesh desk chair, and it has been successful so far. There can be risks of shooting the bed bugs away without killing them due to the high pressure but wrapping a towel around the nozzle should diminish that risk.

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Tmarshall. Though not intended to clean mattresses, the same steps taken to clean your vehicle could be applied. As this product generates hot steam, caution is advised. You may also want to test in an inconspicuous spot to ensure the hot steam does not damage the mattress cover.

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Cora. In cleaning your vehicles upholstery, you would follow the instructions noted for cleaning clothing. Install the general spray nozzle (#14 on the manual) and mount the towel sleeve (#16 on the manual). Aim the general spray nozzle and cleaning sleeve at your upholstery and press down on the steam button. Steam the upholstery in vertical strokes. It is highly recommended to test the steamer in a inconspicuous spot first and always exhibit caution when cleaning with hot steam. Happy Cleaning!!
