Shelter TUBE Storage Shelter, Green

So working on second winter. As others have noted there is an issue with venting. The 9 oz holds up but I'm pretty diligent on removing snow load...will probably get a 21 oz replacement as needed from Logic or custom. The frame is solid. I put up the frame myself by using a wooden 20 foot step ladder lashed as a V for hoisting...not recommend lol...good buy when on sale.

Overall really good quality. A few things would improve my rating to five stars. 1) the door kit requires you cut a hole in the tarp. As my sheltertube came with two rollup door kits (not an option), I felt the holes should be pre cut with some kind of metal ring so as to not tear. I would have liked the option to only get one door kit and save a few dollars as well. 2) vents, my sheltertube gets humid (to the point it drips) and would really benefit from vents of some type. I had to hang a box fan on a timer to circulate air to reduce moisture. 3) shipping company was difficult to work with to schedule a drop off. It was so bad that I had to take a full day off work. They provided an 8 hour window and it came right in the middle of it. Install took way longer than expected. Most of it is not difficult and can be done with basic tools. I would recommend having 4 people around to help attach the legs to the roof frame. I bought the 30’ version for reference so maybe the 20’ length would be easier with 3 people, but I had 3 helping and had to track down a 4th. The rest can easily be done solo or with one other person to help. I probably had a full 8-10 hours into the install. If I had to do it again I could probably get it down to an 7 or 8 hours just with what I know now and I would bring my impact driver next time instead of using a ratchet set. I would also wait to tighten everything down until you’re ready to pull the cover over the top. I used tie downs instead of rope for that step (it’s what I had around) and it worked well. You will want to make sure you have 40-50’ of para cord or rope handy. By the time I got to that step it was after business hours and if I didn’t have tie downs in my truck, I would have had to wait a day to finish and drive 1.5 hrs round trip back to my boat storage. Being able order one in increments less than 5’ would be nice too. I needed a 27-28’ structure but they only offer 5’ extensions past 20’. Some of their other products come in 28’ sizes but do not have enough height or width at the entrance to fit a boat or RV.

We were pleased with our shelter tube we bought. It is very roomy and water tight. My husband installed it with help from 3 friends. We only needed assistance to 1 hour or so and the rest he was able to do alone!
