Q: Can I put it as a wall shelf
4 years agoA: I wouldn't. The back is cardboard and the bottom shelf is not flush with the sides.

Q: What's the disgusting pungent smell from the shelf? How to get rid of it?
4 years agoA: I'm sorry that you are experiencing that smell issue, but I never had that experience with mine....might I suggest a good wash with some lysol cleaner or Mr. Clean, Wash with a bit of the cleaner with water (don't soak it) and dry. I hope this helps!

Q: What is the finish on this item and can this be painted with chalk paint?
4 years agoA: The finish on the Sauder Bookcase is black with warm brown undertones. All Sauder furniture is finished. Furniture with a paper laminate finish cannot be painted or varnished.

12 years agoA: I think it would be too heavy, unless you were "bolting" it to the wall to prevent it from being pulled over. Any mounting would require your own design of said modification.
