Q: Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Royal Purple Oil What oil do you have for older performance engines"?
10 years agoA: Yes, the Max Cycle could be used and will provide significantly greater performance due to having a more robust anti-wear add pack than other mineral or synthetic API SN oils, in addition to being formulated with our proprietary Synerlec high film strength technology. Unfortunately, we don't have access to the recommended viscosity for this engine, but 20w50 sounds a little heavy. I believe you should be running a 10w30 or 10w40. Running a higher viscosity does not necessarily equate to greater performance and can actually hinder performance. Always check your owners manual for the recommended viscosity.
