A: No, the wasps can't leave the trap so they can't transfer it anywhere.

Q: How long can the trap stay hung for? Can it stay up all summer if it isn’t yet full? There appear to be a lot of wasps caught but there are also now live flies trapped above the water line. Does it “expire” after being hung for a certain period of time?

Q: How long does it last? I've had one of these up for about a week now and it's still catching wasps. The bag is almost full of wasps - thousands of them - but I'm wondering when to take it down?

A: That all depends on how bad the wasps are. I've had to change mine weekly, others have only had to change every few weeks.

Q: How do I dispose? Empty water first? Pkg says to throw in garbage but doesn't say to empty water - I don't think I can just throw liquid in my garbage.

Q: Why does it have to be at least 6m from nest? What happens if it’s closer? I see wasps going into my roof through a cut out around an electrical box, so don’t know exactly where the nest actually is. I’ve placed the trap near that entrance to this cut out

A: We recommend hanging this trap at least 6m from any known nests. When yellowjackets leave the nest, they don't start foraging right away. If you hang the trap too close to a nest, it will not be successful at trapping yellowjackets from that nest.
