Waterproof and warm, comfortable, keeps the back of your neck and ears and sides of your face warm, very effective if worn with balaclava and hooded parka effective in -35 and below, tested by me, a bit expensive but not too bad compared to real fur of same quality in regards to warmth/insulation factor. Also, matched my Huntshield parka and pants identically wish the prices of can-tire were lower like they used to be I would spend more money there then but over all this hat is very good
