This unit has a very bad design on the top where the tubes go that attaches to the filter it will always leak and pop out this unit is a waste of money very very bad design

Bought this thing a day ago no matter what you do the fittings keep leaking it is a really bad design for the top head of the filter pipes always pop out and it will always leak the design of the unit is really bad work waste of money

Q: Is it possible to feed this back into the regular faucet (and not have it go into the dedicated faucet)? I'm in a rental and can't drill a hole in my sink. Or would that require special equipment/flow rate adjustments? Thanks.

A: It doesn’t have the flow rate of a regular faucet - great for a filtered watered faucet, but would be bad for a regular faucet. Plus then you will be using filtered water when you are mopping floors etc. which will cause you to go through the filters much faster. Any landlord or rental that has water bad enough to need a filter should be happy to have you install one of these provided you do a good job. Honestly I’d ask for them to pay for the unit and reduce your rent slightly for the month if you do the labor of the install - this is something that increases the value of their home.

Q: The push button light on the under counter filter.... The system says its good for 250 Gallons, but who keeps count? Is there another indicator? for instance: Is the push button light on the filter some sort of indicator? Mine, when I push it, glows orange.

A: Indicator light will blink orange when either flow rate or time interval has been exceeded. Depends on model whether 250 or 350 gallons and/ or 4 months or 6 months.

A: The twist system removes more contaminents than the drinking water system. The drinking water system is mainly for taste/odour.

Q: Can this be installed directly to a flex hose or does it have to be the pinch valve installation? I have an extra cold water line under my sink for a filter system.

A: Hello Sandy, Yes you can install the system to the extra cold water line. You would need a fitting that connects your pipe to 1/4" OD inlet tube. If you have trouble locating such a fitting, please contact Rainfresh for supply fitting model CK514. This steel fitting connects 1/2" copper or PEX pipe to 1/4" tubing and also includes a shut-off valve. Hope this helps. Once again, thank you for choosing Rainfresh!

Q: What is the flow rate for this filter, ie time to fill a 12 cup coffee pot? I need it to feed an espresso machine which required a flow rate not less than 1 gal per min.

A: Rainfresh TWIST (62-1086) is an excellent system designed for potable water use for home. It is rated for a flow rate of 0.75 GPM. Espresso machines require different water quality than potable water. You can contact Rainfresh for specific information on espresso filter systems.
