Philips 7443 Vision LED Stop/Tail Light

Let's start with the bad side. They are not perfect and is not suitable for all lamp types. Their shape is a plus and a minus at the same time. Mirror Flux is an genious technology, no doubt, but due to the specific bulb shape, it can not illuminate all reflector evenly 360 - it leaves Cat eye-shaped () darker spot on the reflector. Due to it, it is not suitable for all lamp shapes. I hope that Philips will correct this little imperfections in its future products. OK, now to the positive. With all that they are not perfect, they are the best 7443 type LED bulbs what I have seen. In my 2007 Subaru Legacy sedan those bulbs looks great, taillights are now more intense red, and LEDs makes beautiful red circles in my Legacy reflectors! The difference between the marker lights and brake lights are very good, exactly what it should be! These bulbs are polarity sensitive, if it is placed in a wrong position lights only sidelight, which goes off if you press brake. One more thing - car lights are too important thing to leave it in the hands of poor quality LED bulbs. Do not play games with the lives, choose reliable manufacturers products as this - Philips, and stay safe!

These lights are comparable to OEM incandescent bulbs in brightness, and were a breeze to install. They have the immediate light-up effect that I was looking for, without sacrificing brightness that most other (cheaper) LED bulbs do. For those that are having issues with hyper-flashing, the packaging clearly states on the 7443 bulbs that they are "Appropriate for application only in certain models as indicated on our website:" On their VISION LED section, they list makes and models that have been tested by Philips. If your vehicle make is not listed on their website, chances are they may not work. It also states that they are continually adding to the list (presumably because these lights are relatively new to the market). If these do last the promised 12 year lifetime, they are definitely worth the premium price. So far, I am very satisfied with the purchase.

I have mine working in a Subaru Impreza, which uses CK style socket. Somehow it works with either of the ground pins shorted to ground. Neat little circuit trick. The reviewer who gave one star should have flipped the bulb around.

I own a 2006 Acura RSX that wasn't designed with any LED bulb anywhere on the vehicle inside or out. I have been looking to upgrade to quality LEDs for my car. When I knew these were available for my taillights as well as the 7440 (brake light only) I immediately picked them up. When the parking lights are on they don't appear to be much brighter (which is fine with me) yet I love the instant on and instant off that LEDs provide. Having a quality name like Philips helps a lot as well. I don't experience any error codes using these since my car is not designed to alert the driver if a parking light or brake light is out (in this case, drawing a very low amount of power). There is one thing you may want to consider depending on your own car's light housing design: All the light comes out on the sides of the bulb and not the top. Very satisfied!
