Avec le kit de réparation vinyle et cuir Permatex, il est important de suivre scrupuleusement les instructions pour une réparation réussie. Pour obtenir la couleur exacte, il est nécessaire de mélanger les sept teintes fournies. Bien que toutes les couleurs possibles ne soient pas indiquées sur le kit, en ajoutant ou en augmentant la quantité de certaines teintes, vous devriez pouvoir obtenir une couleur très proche de celle de votre cuir. Il vous faudra peut-être quelques essais et de la pratique avant de trouver la bonne gamme et la bonne concentration de couleurs. Le séchage à chaud est l'étape la plus importante pour une réparation réussie. I purchased the Permatex Vinyl and Leather Repair Kit, and I’m very disappointed. It doesn’t work as advertised. The store didn’t carry the heat-gun version, but based on this experience, I doubt that one would perform any better.

Achieving the colour match requires mixing colours of the provided seven repair colours, while all possible colours are not indicated on the kit, by mixing in more of some or addition colours you should be able to achieve a colour very close to the colour of your leather. It may a bit of trial and error and practice before being able to make a repair and finding the right range and concentration of colours to match. Heat curing is the most important step curing process to ensure you get a proper repair, the provided tool is very similar to the tool used by professional vinyl and leather repair technicians, and you must ensure that the tool is heated up to properly finish the repair.
