Some insulation but also helps even out the pressure on air mattress

So I bought these for extra insulation from the cold air inside the mattress but turned out it also helped quite a bit with comfort. It spread the pressure evenly across the mattress so for example your elbow or knee wouldn't dig as deep into the mattress. A little extra pro that I wouldn't think of before testing. And the insulation - I feel like it helped for sure but night was only like 8deg outside the tent so nothing extreme (we still had lots of blankets and wore base layers, no sleeping bag though).
