    Satisfactory, Middle-of-the-road Quality

Note that my pack is an older model, so I am not reviewing this specific Canadian Tire item. The overall performance of my North49 hydration pack is satisfactory, but its achilles heel is the stitching quality which has failed at 3 minor spots (so far). see my 3 photos. The photo with my hand in it shows where stitching has failed at the very bottom of the pocket . if North 49 has not improved their quality, then it's likely you will experience the same defects with their current product offerings.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    best value

It's worth it. There are no bells and whistles, just the basics, and it delivers. I use it on LSD runs spanning 1.5-2.5 hrs. It has a 2L bladder capacity. It hugs well to the body during the run, and there is minimal jugging, the centre of mass (pack) stays at the centre of mass(your lumber region). The water pack stays cool, even in humid 35+ weather. The pack does not transfer heat from your back. Water in the tube may be warm from sunlight and ambient air temperature, but once the water from the pack gets to your mouth, it is good to know it is still cold. The drawback of this pack is the zipper. It does not have a locking clasp like in pant zippers, so one zipper might go down, therefore the pouch gets opened, and PLOP, you dropped your bladder. Learned this lesson on my first run. Luckily, the bladder is very durable. My solution was to jimmy an elastic band through both zippers to keep it closed. Drawback #2, the bladder just flops to the bottom inside the pouch. There is no internal hook or mechanic in the pouch to keep it upright in the pack and flush against your back. Gravity takes control and makes the shapeless bladder just puddle on the bottom. This will be problematic if a user decides to partner it up with a fanny pack or a water carrier. Overall, I highly recommend this to everyone. This product is well worth the money. It has a simple design and it works

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Works perfectly

I tried it yesterday for a long run. It fits very well (5'5" slim female), does not bounce and feels light. There was enough space not only for my keys and wallet, but also for extra clothes and a little package. Though it looks ugly, that's absolutely compensated with the lowest possible price.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
