Awesome panel

Tested this panel with an amp gauge and it easily produced over 4.13 amps of power. Tilting the panel on different angles greatly effected the output of the panel. Even a slight shadow the width of a pencil would reduce the output by 30% or more so direct sun is very important for maximum performance. It charges my rv battery easily and let’s me boondock for weeks without any problem. Definitely beats hauling around a small generator and gas to recharge your batteries.

Excellent Power From a Small Package

If you're looking to get into solar power, this is the panel for you. At 75 Watts of power, this solar panel provides a high power to surface area ratio. The encasing frame is sturdy yet light weight, and would easily link together with multiple panels for larger applications. Make sure you grab a solar charge controller at the same time that matches or exceeds the power output of this panel (don't connect directly to a battery without one).

Putting power where is wasn't before!

We are using this panel (with the Coleman 12 v controller) to keep the battery charged that we use to power the electric motor in the boat. This is nice as we no longer have to carry the battery out of the boat and up hill to put it on the charger. I took some extra steps to ensure it is mounted solid and it has held up fine thus far. I will be bringing it in for winter, as I don't think it would bode well.

Simply to the point clear connection information and paired with a coleman charge controller this things unstoppable!
This panel has solved a remote problem - constant supply of power (sun permitting of course) to a small battery bank for our water pump house! life saver!

A: It is hard to determine how long a particular charger will take to charge a 12V battery. This is primarily due to the amount of variables that work into this discussion. Access to sunlight, existing charge in the battery, size of battery and ambient temperature all contribute to a solar chargers rate of re-charge. What we can say is generally speaking and average sized battery in good condition that is not severely depleted should charge in one full sunny day.

Q: If this panel is 4.3 amp, is it OK to use 2 panels with the Coleman 8.5 amp controller ? In the most sunny situation, I would be at 8.6 amp. Is the 0.1 amp really a problem ?

A: The NOMA 75 Watt Crystalline Solar Panel has integrated 'shade tolerance' which will allow cells to perform at a reduced capacity even under shade. Should a few individual cells be covered the panel as a whole will still perform.

A: The solar panel only includes basic lead wires. You may need to purchase additional electrical wire depending on the setup and distance of your application. You will also require a charge controller, such as the Coleman 8.5 Amp controller or the 30 Amp model. The controller selection is based on whether you intend to work with a single panel or plan to add more later on.
