Works great!

Installed this on a diesel pickup with dual batteries. It charged them from dead and maintains them so they’re ready to go. Glad I bought this.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I've connected 2 batteries and 1 of them is fully charged (green light is permanently on) but the other battery is not, the red light still on (Red solid charging) It has been charging for the last 3 days. What's happening? Why is that?

A: The Charge LED will stay red until the charge cycle is complete and the battery is fully charged to 14.4V +/-0.2V. We would recommend taking a voltage reading of the battery to see where it is at in the charge. If the battery had any built up sulfation from sitting undercharged or being deeply depleted, the bank would have worked to repair that first, increasing the overall charge time and time that the Charge LED will be red. If you are still in need of assistance, please contact NOCO Support directly on the NOCO website.

Q: Would this charger be able to charge the MotoMaster Nautilus Group 27 Starting & Deep Cycle Battery?
2 Answers
A: Group 27 batteries are typically around 90Ah in capacity, and would be within the charging limits of the GENM2 Mini (120Ah or less). As long as both batteries are within this 120Ah range, the GENM2 Mini can be used to charge and maintain them both. The charger will first fully charge the batteries, and then maintain them as the charger remains plugged into AC power and connected to the batteries.

Q: can I leave it plugged into the wall and connected to my 2 batteries all winter long without turning it off?
My goal is to keep my batteries top up without un-plugging them during the entire winter.

A: As per the vendor: "The GENM2 is designed as a battery maintainer turning off/on automatically to keep batteries fully charged while not overcharging for long periods of time".

Q: what does 'ignition protected' mean?
it looks like there is a bulbose black thing on the red wires. Will the unit work if I have to shorten the red wires and cut these things off?

A: sure it will work. they are just fuses. now a person in a white coat who designed this unit who gets payed lots of money decided they are needed. so maybe they should be left alone. they are there so the unit it self is not damaged from electrical spikes in amps. and or any other devices on your aplication. i did a install on one of theses products and had to cut them off while running the wiring. but after i got the wires where they had to go i re soildered them on and heat shrunk my connections.

Q: Can I cut off the eyelets and solder on alligator clamps (using waterproof heat shrink) or will this void the warranty? Obviously leaving the inline fuse where it is.
Thanks

1 Answer
A: Please contact NOCO (www.no.co) to confirm whether this will void the warranty. While you're at it though, ask them whether the alligator clips (which are removable) on their GC001 will simply bolt onto the GEN Mini 2 eyelets??
