Cord frayed on both ends, broke and blew fuse

Wire on the connecting end frayed on both ends and broke on the end next to the unit. Wire is very stiff and not payable. Unit worked well but wire is cheap.

Not for our winter

Like many other users the wires are not made for our winters. Plastic on wires are cracking exposing the copper wires. Dangerous problems that needs to be taken care. Otherwise it is excellent but because of this issue I will give only a one star

Excellent chargeur d'entretien de batterie

J'ai installé le chargeur en permanence sous le capot et fait sortir seulement la prise (comme pour les chauffe-moteur). Excellent pour maintenir une batterie chargée lorsqu,on utilise très peu la voiture ou lorsque l'ordinateur de la voiture moderne consomme beaucoup de courrant quand l'auto est au repos (dans notre cas une Civic 2012).
Sans le chargeur, l'auto ne partait plus après 7 jours sans utilisation par temps froid. maintenant aucun problème et toujours prêt à démarrer sans hésitation, même après 14 jours.
L'installation en permanence sous le capot évite de manipuler les fils par temps froid et ainsi évite les problèmes rencontrés par les autres clients qui ont vu des dommages fait aux fils.
Contrairement au chauffe bloc moteur qui peux consommer jusqu'à 600 Watts, le Nico 3500 ne consomme que quelques watts (7-10 watts) lorsque en mode de charge et moins de 1 watt en mode de surveillance. Donc ce n'est que $0.02 par jour vs $0.45 pour 8 heures d'un chauffe moteur.
Je le recommende comme chargeur pour maintenir/desulfatiser/entretenir une batterie.

Apres pres de 3ans super chargeur mais utiliser une fois dehors a -30 les fils ont casser et le chargeur a sauté .. tres decu

Q: Can this charger charge up a Lithium ion battery pack of 14.8V ? this charger has 12V output, there is 2.8V short.

A: The G3500's output is not 12V. In 12V Lithium Mode, the battery will be charged to 14.2 +/-0.2V.

Q: G3500 vs G7200 Other than capacity, is there any functional difference between the two units? In other words, why would anyone pay more to buy the G7200?

A: From a capacity standpoint, it means the G7200 charger twice as fast as the G3500 would. But also, the G7200 can handle batteries of higher capacity too. From a features standpoint, the G3500 does 6V and 12V batteries while the G7200 does 12V and 24V batteries. The G7200 also comes with a 13.6V Supply mode (good for "waking" batteries that are below 2V and providing constant power for various low wattage draw needs) and a 16V Boost mode handy for recovering deeply sulphated batteries. Q: Charging 6 volt battery My new Genious G3500 will not switch to the 6 volt mode. Any ideas ?

A: If it's been drained and can't reach or read the proper voltage any more, it won't recognize it hence it won't pump any Amps into it. Try charging it in series for a 12Volt charge or a parallel hook-up with an other salvageable 6Volt. That's what I did with my 12Volt batteries and it worked. Hope it works out for you...

Q: Will the g3500 charge two 208ah 6volt deep cycle and a 12volt battery? Will the g3500 charge two 208ah 6volt deep cycle and a 12volt battery? I also have a roof mounted solar panel that charges as well. I am looking for something that tops up the batteries at night or when their isn't enough light for the solar panel.

A: It should. But I'd isolate the 6 and 12 volt batteries - which they probably are. I would also presume you already have your 6Volt batteries in a series configuration. So remember, these little units maintain and help keep your storage topped up. If you go any bigger than what you presently have, you will require a higher amperage charger. simple physics. And true deep cycle batteries require some serious juice (But looks like you have a cool little system going - right on:).

Q: Three questions: Just want to confirm it can be directly connected to a standard +12V lead-acid automotive battery? Can it be permanently installed in the engine bay with the AC wire sticking out? Is it weather proof?

A: Sur la borne négative. (Noir). Lisez le manuelle d'instruction avant d'utiliser un produit, cela peut s'avéré utile parfois, comme dans ce cas-ci, il est inscrit dans la manuel de ne pas connecter le connecteur au pole de mise à la terre qui est relié au chassis.

A: Je trouve le g3500 très polyvalent car je l'utilise comme chargeur quand je suis pas pressé, mais pour maintenir une charge le g1100 est amplement suffisant.
