Q: How do you make the scaffolding? How do you tie the separated pieces together? Is there another piece I'm supposed to buy? Nothing on the website shows this add-on. Did I get a defective ladder that is missing a part of the package?

A: The first (still attached piece) will turn itself into an "A" by itself. The second and third single pieces, will connect together with the little metal "u-shaped" clamps that "lock the ladder to size". Both U-shaped locks on both pieces do not need to be used. Use one u-shaped piece in the hole of the other piece, and the opposite piece's u-shaped piece in the first one. Like this: ../c c\...... /A\ ./___ \ .../___\ /_____\ /____ \ front Left u-shape goes into right piece, and back right u-shape goes into left piece. **A - designates the rounded piece that is already built into ladder. ** c - designates the two u-shaped bolts that you fit into each other's holes.

Q: Mastercraft ladder MOD: 061-1056-6 061-1056-6 -- I have this ladder and I think its a great ladder but today I went to use it as an extension ladder and I couldn't get it to lock in position. Is this common or am I doing something wrong?

A: I am having the same issue. I bought mine a couple of years ago because it was on a 75% off sale and knew I would be needing it. However, I just opened it last weekend and when I try to use it as an extension ladder, only one of the hinges will lock. There is nothing in the instructions for troubleshooting. Anyone have a suggestion?

Q: Is this ladder made by Vulcan Ladders? It looks like a Vulcan ladder, but I don't see the yellow VULCAN LADDERS sticker on the side of the legs, and it's rated for only 250 lbs, not 300, as Vulcan ladders are.

A: Our 21' Ladder has an overall assembled extension ladder height of 19 feet. It is listed as a 21' ladder as it is a sum of all ladder components when placed end to end. Vulcan Ladder USA

A: The Ladder can be separated into two sections, both sections can be folded into step-ladders and positioned to take a board similar to a scaffold. The boards or platform are not included in the price.
