Unit does not have a fan - expensive compared to others.

I purchased this unit a few weeks ago and i was pretty disappointed in the fact that this unit does not have a fan with switch, and yet the US versions do for less of a price, i also contacted the manufacturer of the products and plain & simple was told to look for a unit that has the fan... What type of customer service is this? Canadian tire you need to improve on your warranty and customer service. Very very disappointed overall. FYI, there is no fan, no battery holder on the back as the back compartment is glued closed, no terminal connectors where batteries should be installed.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I've used many types of infrared heaters but this one here certainly rates as one of the best. It's fully adjustable from 4000 to 9000 to 18000 which is nice. I had the batteries in it which is a tiny fan that the unit has and it ran for 60 hours straight off a 20lb bottle and the batteries were still good.

amazing unit

puts out a ton of heat for a portable unit. got this for power outage. after power outage started to use it to heat up a one car garage. When needed. Mostly ran on low and medium and that was plenty.

Q: Can this heater be used indoors? (in house) Just want to know if CO2 would be problem.

A: It use oxygen and produces Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and dangerous Carbon Monoxide (CO), to use in a confined area you must have plenty of fresh air ventilation, of course the manufacturer will tell you unequivocally "for out door use only". I have a carbon monoxide monitor and I keep it around when I use it. The little buddy has about a 6" x 8" heat element, provide about the same amount of fresh air ventilation in close proximity to the heater when it is in operation in your ice fishing hut (or whatever). This is a great heater it has a good automatic shut off feature if it is bumped. One problem I have noted is that when it is fully heated up the on/off/adjustment valve sometimes sticks and you have to tilt the unit to shut it off! Never use it in a tent!

A: J'ai utilisé le 9000 BTU tout l'hiver à l'intérieur d'un camp 12' X 16'. À peine on lui touche il ferme et il s'éteint aussi par manque d'oxygène ce qui n'est jamais arrivé. On sait qu'au Canada des restrictions on en a sur tout. D'ailleurs aux US il est permis de s'en servir à l'intérieur. J'attend le prochain spécial pour me procurer le 18000 BTU. Très efficace et performant.

A: Yes you can use it indoors but you need to buy the extra long extension 12 footer so that the tank can be on the outside just in case it leaks at all. I use it in my cabin and I just cut a hole through the screen and shut the window. Most ice tents have a hole for the cable built in so that the propane tank is on the outside

A: I do not use ventilation but remember this is a burning gas (propane) maybe a CO detector would be wise just in case. Inside I don't run my for extended periods anyway because it's way to hot but that's a good thing. Read the manual when you get it see what they say.

A: The heater is provided with only one quick connection on the facing left side. You may take advantage of any number of configurations for connecting hoses on both sides. The hoses designed for this are F273701/2 and F273704. The quick connect hose does not need a filter. Use another !# container for the other side. Mr Heater
