DO NOT BUY

Absolute garbage. Stand is unstable even with 16 inch alloy rims. If I could give a 0 i would. Do not buy this piece of trash. Get something better. Even on sale it's a rip off.

Decent unit for seasonal tire storage.

Limited Use

The unfortunate aspect of this stand is that you can only use it to stack rims with no centre hub, so i didn't use stacking bars for my summer rims, but can use them for winter steel rims, otherwise looks very sturdy, and easy to assemble.

Good storage option, no need to fix to a wall. Tucks away nicely under stairs

Was exactly what I needed. Was glad to see it on sale. The holes were slightly off when attaching the base, I work able to persuade them in. It fits well under my basement stairs. Easy to move around if needed.

Lightweight but swabs

Even on my 16” sedan tires with rims. Unless you leave it untouched or lean to a wall, otherwise find a heavier shelf instead.

Questions

Q: can rims warp by having them supported like this? Little worried as I have $3000.00 rims. Thanks for any feedback

  • A: For your expencive rims why not go top of the line - use the best rack CT has.

Q: What if my rim does not have a big hole in the center?

  • A: The hub centre cap badge is easily knocked out with a light tap -- from behind -- with the butt of a screwdriver. Not by prying from the front. However, be sure your rim and tire can fit between the spacers as they aren't adjustable. Also, you may need help to lift the rim and tire high enough, horizontally (away from your clothes) to slide them down the pole.

Q: Does this product work if you don't have rims on your tires?

4 Answers
  • A: No. Unless the weight of the tire is resting on the (~5" diameter) spacer disks, then the centre pole bears no weight, and could easily be pulled up and removed. On the other hand, your tires would be light enough for the device to work well as a trolley. Not sure why you wouldn't stack them on the floor for free.

Q: Is there a fabric cover included with this tire rack?

  • A: NO. I could not fine a cover as I say on the CT desplay.

Q: Will this stand hold 4 225/60/17 with the rims, without touching each other?

3 Answers
  • A: My tires are 235 and they all fit with extra room. So 225's should fit.

Q: Does it have casters? All the flyer images of this show it on casters. Which for me would be handy.

  • A: It comes with 6 very sturdy casters. Watch what tires you are buying it for. Not all size combination wheels and tires fit the pin locations.

Q: Is it easy to disassemble the center pole, E.G. to avoid lifting the bottom tire off the entire height of the unit?

  • A: It all depends on the weight of the tires.

Q: Bonjour.

Q: Will this tire stand accomodate 2 - 20” 315 mm and 2 - 20” 275 mm with space between each tire?

2 Answers
  • A: Although these are not complete tire sizes, we believe you have tires with 275mm and 315mm overall diameters? If so, this rack will not fit – it can accommodate tires up to 230mm overall width. We would prefer to recommend the MotoMaster Tire Dolly (Canadian Tire #09-1506) for your tires – and the two sizes would look neat stacked in the garage.
