Pretty good, especially for the price.

It's very convenient to be able to run this air compressor off your vehicle or a wall outlet, I find that I use it both ways often enough - whatever is convenient at the moment. This is a decently quick tire inflator too, being able to set the desired pressure is helpful during seasonal tire changes or while getting ready to go on a bike ride ... Very convenient. This also comes with some attachments for inflating balls, and an adapter for Presta valves and the compartment that keeps those has been reliable.

Used 4 times, then stopped working

Used 4 times, then stopped working. I bought It to inflate bike tires while powering it from my truck or 120 volt outlet in my garage. Did not last. Buying a similar product from a different brand.

Questions

Q: Can it be used for other inflatables than tires? Does it come with adapters to be used inside the house for inflatable fitness balls or inflatable beds? Or is this only designed for tires?

  • A: The air output on this pump is pretty low. It does not fill a single air mattress within the 10 minute operating time, then it needs a 10 minute cool down before you can continue. It's good enough for topping up my car tires as needed, but I have a higher output DC version for larger tasks.

Q: i connect it to a bike tire, i set the psi i want, it runs for a few seconds then it just shuts off without reaching the target psi?

  • A: No, it shut off because the pressure sensing is Defective, substandard design and materials.

Q: How many amps does this draw (WHEN USING FROM CAR 12V OUTLET) ? Product #09-5097-2 How many amps does this product draw when using from the 12v cigarette lighter in a car? This unit can also be used from a household Plug.....i don't need to know the househould amperage. Just the amperage it draws from the car outlet.

  • A: The amperage draw increases as the pressure increases, but I managed to pump up my RV tire to 80 p.s.i. without blowing the 15 amp fuse.... of course it took about 20 minutes to do it from about 45 p.s.i. it might work faster on 120v. current, but I doubt it since it would depend on the size of the compressor output, not the amperage. It got pretty hot after an hour of doing all four tires up to 80 p.s.i.

Q: Too shallow for one of my tire valves The locking nozzle is to shallow for one of the valve stems on my car tire, is there an adapter/coupler I can get to extend it?

2 Answers
  • A: Don't think your valve stems are the problem since they are pretty standard on their ends, and the lock doesn't have to bottom out on the rubber part of the valve stem. You can get valve stem caps that you are able to fill the tire up without removing them... maybe try that for a solution??

Q: Is the time to inflate a standard car tire really 6.5 minutes as indicated? Some lesser models seem to do the job quicker.

  • A: I timed a pretty normal sized car tire at one PSI per 27 seconds. So do your math based on that. Add or subtract if your tire is bigger or smaller.

Q: Can it be stored in the vehicle without damaging it? It would be very useful if I could just buy one for each vehicle and keep it with the vehicle at all times, but I don't have a garage and don't want to damage the compressor through the extreme temperature ranges of Ontario.

  • A: I left mine right in my RV van while in storage over a cold winter period... didn't use it while cold, which could have damaged it I guess. It worked over a year and a half until the 120 v. function quit working... It still works on 12 v. function, but I don't know if the cold weather storage caused the loss of the 120 v. function...maybe???

Q: Does the battery needs to be charged to be used without connecting 12v chord or to any power outlet.

2 Answers
  • A: This compressor does not have an internal battery. You can use it only pluged at 12v or 120V.It has a switch for this.
