utilisé au chalet depuis 1 an et fonctionne a merveille. si vous poussez un peu trop la sauce, il y a 3 fusibles a l'intérieur qui vont griller alors il suffit de les remplacer.
We bought this unit for camping at unpowered sites where we need 120V to run devices such as an air compressor to fill up an air mattress etc. It will power almost anything we require when roughing it out in the woods such as lights and kettles. I hook it up to my truck battery and run the engine while using the inverter so the battery is not drained. It works perfectly if you follow the instructions and keep it dry. Just remember to get the proper cables to connect the unit to a battery, they are not included. I went to the Automotives Dept. and purchased the parts I needed to make heavy duty cables. I think there is a kit you can buy that will make things easier. Great little device.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent inverter

I recently built a new workshop and decided to power it with solar so got two 100 watt panels and this 1000 watt inverter. I am very pleased with the quality and output of the inverter. I put a 49" 4K TV, media player and Blu Ray player in my workshop and they all work with this inverter. I also run a variety of tools with it and have not had a problem. The two solar panels keep my 4 deep cycle batteries charged. I don't heat my workshop with it, I have a line running from the house for that.
This is a very quiet unit also. I thought I might upgrade to a pure sine inverter so bought one and hooked it up. It was so loud I put this one back and returned the pure sine. I will keep this one and am very happy with it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent product

This inverter runs my entire cottage while connected to a bank of deep cycle batteries and several solar panels. I have all LED light bulbs and a 32" LED TV and satellite receiver.
My 700 watt microwave runs as if it were at home.
If you need more than that then buy a larger inverter!!

A: You would need a solar panel capable of delivering 75+ amps at 12volt.
Yoiu would need a pretty big roof I think as well as the cost may be an issue.

Q: Will any car power this inverter?
will any vehicle supply enough amperage to run this inverter to its full potential? I have a 99 honda civic and the alternator is slightly larger than my fist... will it do alright?

A: It will take more than 80 AMPS out of the battery to supply power to run an inverter at 1000W
You don't have that much surplus power available on your Honda.

A: No, you can not plug a 1000watt inverter into a cigar lighter outlet.
It requires cables the size of a pen or bigger directly connected to the battery

Q: What gauge wire should i use from my battery to the inverter
16 years ago

A: Depends on the inverter size and the length of wire.
The instructions in the box will tell you the info.
As an example, I believe you would need #4 cable at the smallest.

Q: What does the remote switch for this inverter do? I plugged it in with the power switch on the inverter in the on position and the remote switch seemed to do nothing. I thought it would turn the inverter off same as the built in power switch.

A: The two switches are probably either in series OR in parallel; IF the are in parallel, the power switch on the inverter in the OFF position would then 'delegate' is role to the remote switch which would then have full ON-OFF control of the inverter. MAYBE; try it.

Q: What is the standby draw on the battery?
My pure sine wave inverter draws too much for a standby setup and I wonder if this modified sine wave unit draws significantly less power on standby.

A: You say standby load is <1.5 amps but the specs printed above on this web page say <.5 amps. which is correct?
