Long and flexable for bending in around tight areas where your arm wont reach, by pressing button on top of handle opens a claw like minature hand that clamps closed on whatever lightweight item you are trying to pick-up when is released.

excellent for stuff you dropped behind the washer

I always seem to drop stuff behind my washer and dryer. Instead of moving my appliances, this works incredibly effective in picking up that lost sock. I also use it when I drop stuff behind a cabinet or undereath my car when I am working under the hood. I had a small nut fall into a crevice in the engine compartment and I couldn't reach it by hand. This one was long and skinny enough to accurately readh in and grab it for me. I also drop lots of stuff behind the bed, behind the sofa, etc, this tool is just perfect to pick up these pieces.
There are lot's of uses around the house for this, not just in the mechanics garage.

Terrific picker-upper

I picked up all sorts of things with this tool, but the best was when I used it to pick up a glass bulb which had broken off its base and was stuck inside a sealed fog light lens.

Q: Pick up tree branches ? Would this be suitable to pick up small tree branches and carry to a pile, or would the branches fall out?
