    Not good at all

It’s almost impossible to torque wheels at 1:20 or 140 foot pounds with this tiny torque wrench. You need something longer with more leverage.

Q: Why does this product have the "TESTED" for life in Canada Logo, but the product doesn't "CLICK" and i've tested at least 8 over the past 3 years. CT mechanics even tested one with me along with the Manager of the Auto Department. 3 YEARS not working !!!

    • A: I bought one yesterday to use on an oil pan and it works terrific. It doesn't have an audible click like a wheel nut torque wrench but it works great for low torque stuff by feel with the head release. Sounds like you need to gently learn how to use it.

Q: I want to know if all the reviews (that aren't sponsored or 4 star ratings) are accurate with the "no-click" issue. I need one of these and will look at warranty before buying but all the neg reviews are crazy. Is it a provable user-based issue?

    • A: I bought this yesterday and used it on an oil pan. I actually used it at three torque levels on the oil pan on every bolt. It works flawlessly. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before buying, as after using the wrench then reading the reviews it's very clear to me that all the negative reviewers don't understand how the indication on this wrench works. It is a great addition to my toolbox.

Q: can you recalibrate a torque wrench ?

    1 Answer
    • A: Torque wrenches should be re-calibrated periodically, the calibration should be checked at least once a year or after 5,000 cycles (“clicks”).

Q: The range listed on the packaging and website for the 3/8” torque wrench Product #058-9398-4 is 50-250 in-lb but the scale engraved on the actual wrench is 30-250 in-lbs. Which is correct?

    1 Answer
    • A: This Maximum torque wrench is accurate in clockwise direction +/- 3% from 20% to 100% of full scale (50 to 250 in-lb range). Torque wrenches often have scale that goes slightly below the 20% of range, i.e. instead of stopping at 50 in-lb they can be marked a little lower (i.e. down to 30 in-lbs). One reason is with an inch and metric scale, there can be some conversion difference and you may need to go down another 5 or 10 in-lbs so the metric scale stops at a reasonable value. But the 20% to 100% range is the range that its accuracy (+/- 3%) is calibrated in.

Q: Maximum torque wrench labelled "Not for use on lug nuts". Why? Why is the 3/8" Maximum Torque Wrench labelled "Not for use on lug nuts"? I didn't notice this until I got the product home (and that is the use I bought it for). Can the 1/2" be used for lug nuts?

    1 Answer
    • A: es all of our ½”-Drive Torque Wrenches are designed for use on lug nuts. The 3/8”-Drive are designed for applications that require much less torque than lug nuts.
