Just what I wanted.

As a set with 2 batteries, and sockets, and on sale, What a deal! I have used it twice now, once on a Mustang, 100 ft/lb and on a Mazda 3 - 85 ft/lb. Lots of power for that, but not sure how much was left, torque wise on that battery. Having a second battery was great, if I had needed it.Took little time to recharge the first battery. I love every thing about it so far, and for home use, you can't go wrong.

I drive a tow truck and do light service occasionally. This tool makes the job of changing flat tires infinitely easier and extremely quicker. No more wrestling with over-torqued lug nuts! Highly recommend

It is perfect for tire change for car and medium duty task fixing stuff. I use it to supplement my corded wrench which is so heavy that I have tough time even holding it straight. (Partly due to old age, I guess) The light weight of this wrench makes it so easy to maneuver that I can make a job done fast and easy. With bonus socket set included it is a very good buy.

Bought this when it was on sale to remove wheel nuts from my car, I have found many uses for it as it is small enough to fit in many places, I found this to be very good to remove wheel nuts, I have had to break some loose first that have not been removed in years or have been over torqued, good weight and balance, I use this every week in my garage, don't use it to install small bolts as it will break them off as it is 145 foot LBS torque. I would recommend this to anyone, love it,

A: Yes. But but you have to pay more for getting less. Check out the item with the 'wrecnch only' you will find the exact item costing 80 bucks more. What is the rationale?

Q: How is the specified torque measured? I measured my lug nuts with a digital torque wrench at 82 ft-lbs and yet the wrench would not budge the nuts. When I re-tightened with the impact wrench they only measured 65 ft-lbs. Where is the 145 ft-lbs that is advertised?

A: Will, you make sure that you got to squeeze full the trigger. Remember, it has variable speed control. If you want to snap off the bolt of your rims give a little longer squeeze.

Q: Is there any guarantee the batteries won't be discontinued like the 14.4 volt ? My 14.4 Maxium impact is useless the batteries have failed can't buy new ones.

A: We were not the Manufacturers of that product. Technology will change and the 14.4 was based on Ni-Cad battery technology which virtually no Manufacturer supports today. Battery technology has changed to Lithium-Ion. The intention for the Maximum brand is to maintain the Lithium-Ion technology and apply it to multiple tool types. This breadth strategy will require the battery platform to be maintained well into the future but no one can guarantee that a new technology does not replace the current sometime in the future, but there is no imminent threat of that happening.

A: The new Maximum program has no relationship with the Mastercraft program. Maximum is a program designed with heavy DIYers and Professionals in mind. The two programs are not compatible or interchangeable.

Q: only 145ft-lbs? it that a typo? the regular mastercraft claims better torque... i found my 4yr old maximum, 18V @ 230ft-lb kinda weak and was hoping for better torque

A: The Maximum product is able to provide sufficient torque for many applications including changing tires as most passenger vehicles require torque of 60-100 ft lbs depending on the vehicle. If you wish more torque in a Maximum 20V product, you have additional options with item 54-2512 at 165 ft lbs or 54-4274 offering 350 ft. lbs.
