    Passable

Looking to cut tile for a small washroom project. Care is needed in setting the fence, but I had no problem cutting a number of tiles. Did not have a lot of problem with water spray, that I have with older versions of this model that I have borrowed. Care is needed at the end of the cut as my tiles tended to break for the last few mm of the cut.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    poor quality saw

Spend a little more money and get next model up. When cutting tile, use it in a location where you don't care of the surrounding area getting wet. Like garage or outside. Water tray does not catch a lot of the excess water and you have to constantly fill it up, almost every other cut, because most of it either lands on the floor or is sprayed on to your stomach. Wear an apron! Tiles jam when using fence when making smaller cuts. I dont recommend purchasing this item. even if it is on sale. Spend the extra money and get al least next model up!

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Can cut thick patio bricks

Used this from interior textured bricks to ceramic flooring and it works great. Only reason why i don't give 5 stars is because of the way they designed the water recipient.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Good Value

I have this saw and have used it for small projects (shower, backsplash, etc.) and it does a good job. Some reviews have complained about poor parts fit and other quality issues; I did not experience those problems. If you encounter a quality issue - exchange for another. I know it's a pain - but the saw works well if it's set up properly. Highly recommended.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Can you cut Concrete Pavers ( Interlocking Brick ) with this saw?

    5 Answers
    • A: Doubtful. I didn't see a blade height adjustment on this saw, so I doubt the blade could handle the thickness of interlocking brick. This is a tile saw, after all, not a landscaping saw. We had our walkway done in interlock last summer and the gas-powered 15"-blade saws the guys were using certainly were not in the same league as this little electric tile saw.

Q: Can you cut 16" tiles with this saw

    • A: I cut 24" tile lengthwise with this saw no problem. For cross-cuts, I used the Mastercraft 7-in. Slide Tile Saw (55-6740).

Q: What material is used for the saw table ie will it rust

    2 Answers
    • A: It's aluminum silver top work table and blue painted metal sides with yellow plastic knobs. The top won't rust but I guess if the sides get old enough they may start to rust. Should last you a long time.

Q: Do you adjust the height of the blade the same way you would on a regular table saw? ( Depending on thickness of tile )

    2 Answers
    • A: I didn't see any adjustment for this. I don't think it's necessary for tile saws because tiles don't have the same extreme differences in thickness as wood (on a table saw) - tiles range typically from 1/4" to 3/8" to 1/2" thickness max - not much of a spread.

Q: Approximately how many 1/4'' x 13 x 13 ceramic tiles can this blade cut, before having to replace the blade?

    2 Answers
    • A: I guess it depends on what you mean but "cutting". I just finished my first project with this saw. My tiles were slightly thicker than yours at about 8mm. The total length of my cuts would have exceeded 15 meters or about 45 feet and my blade shows absolutely no signs of wearing down yet. Cutting about 50 of your tiles, edge to edge, would pretty much equal what I've cut so far.
