Q: Would this work great on cutting a bike brake cable?
2 years agoA: Not its intended use . For Bicycle cable triangular cutting jaws are recommended to avoid cable fraying. Also depending on the cable it could crush the housing so a bicycle cable cutter is recommended.

2 years agoA: No, this is for copper cable. You will need a bolt cutter.

6 years agoA: 057-4579 is used for soft wire /cable. It is designed to cut copper and aluminum multi stranded cable such as 24 gauge or telephone cable. Clothesline can be made out of many different contents - you would need to verify and compare to the above as you have not specified what your clothesline is made of. Thank you for your enquiry.
