Amazing hammer, innovative design

[Employee of canadiantire-ca] I needed to get an extra hammer to use for demolition. I reclaim the wood from pallets and I like to have a nice sturdy strong hammer. The handle is graphite and it’s shaped in a way. That’s very comfortable to hold. I went for the 20 ounce as I like the nice weight that it gives. The magnet at the tip and the little groove that’s cut in the head for for a nail is a nice feature not something that I will use, but it is a nice feature. I was fortunate enough to pick this up when Canadian Tire had one of its regular 50% sales so this was a great deal for a great hammer can’t say enough good stuff about Mastercraft. The warranty also on their hand, tools is amazing and shows their faith that they have in their products. So if you need a hammer and you want one of great quality, this will not let you down. Specially, if you can get it on one of the sale days.

Q: What is the little notch at the base of the handle for? There seems to be a hole, perhaps for a lanyard but the hole doesn't go all the way through

A: The hole is not for a lanyard. It’s function has to do with securing the grip to the shift.
