The meter is easy to use and read. Can not speak to it accuracy or durability. I have no way check on its accuracy and have not had it long enough to speak about its durability.

steal pine unscrewin often

same here of the last I have 2 friend and I have the moisture thing but the little steel pine unscrew all the time can I screw them and add red l9ck nut that will make the pine stopping to unscrew often

A: L'aiguille de l'humidimètre peut mesurer jusqu'à 3-5mm mais il y a plus de volatilité dans les mesures plus vous allez en profondeur, nous suggérons de mesurer beaucoup de positions différentes ou de couper une feuille fine pour la mesure. Il n'y a pas de spécifications de profondeur dans le manuel.

Q: Does this product require the user to insert the prongs into materials (example drywall) thus creating two holes OR does it simply need to contact the material?

A: Usage: 1. Pull the protective cap upward to expose the electrode pins. Turn the meter's slide switch ON to take measurements. 2. Carefully push the electrode pins as far as possible into the material being tested. Note: insert the pins into wood perpendicular to the wood fiber structure. 3. Take several readings in various locations on the material for the best representation of the amount of moisture present. 4. Read the measurement values on the display. 5. Push back the protective cap when finished. The meter automatically shuts off after 15 minutes when the unit is left on. To revive the meter after an auto shut-off, simply turn the meter's slide switch OFF and ON. To conserve battery life, turn the slide switch OFF when the meter is not in use

Q: Meter is out of calibration. When I turn the meter on it goes to 8%. I exchanged it for another new one. The second one has the same problem. Is there a way to calibrate these meters?

Q: Which scale is in use? Trying to read on a dry-ish sponge. On WHICH scale should I read (common sense is NOT a good answer). Does wood and "other" icons indicate from which scale to read?

A: There is a legend on the back on the unit and uou would read the scale on the on the left if you’re measuring against wood. And you would use the scale on the right if you’re measuring other building materials such as concrete, cinderblock, drywall, etc.
