This is a great little heater. It throws a lot more heat than expected. It warms an insulated single car garage or a large room in my basement. This is the second one I bought as I just gave my daughter my first one that I purchased 2 years ago to use in her garage. It's very quiet when running even when set on maximum. These heaters should last a very long time and give years of excellent service.

Have had it for a few years now but never used til last winter and it only worked for about a week. I usually preach of how good Canadian Tire products are I can’t say that about this one and I’m sure my warranty is out of time anyways.

  • A: Shuts off when reaches heat setting. When the unit reaches extremely high temperatures the heaters thermal fuse will shut off permanently for safety. Best not to leave unattended, like most electrical devices.

  • A: It says 3 feet clearance, but don't waste your money on this heater. It won't warm anything up more than 1 foot away!

Q: What is the minimum temperature setting

  • A: It does not give specific temperature given that it works by sensing the temperature of the space it is in. There are only 4 settings and that includes OFF. The HI setting (double flame far right) has the highest intensity and will heat up fast. The lower setting (single flame) is used once the room is comfortable and then the temperature dial on the right would be dialed back until the heater shuts off. You have now set the temperature you want the heater to maintain in that room.

  • A: Honestly, I wouldn't be as concerned with the airflow as much as the heat output. With 120v heaters there is a significant trade off between airflow and heat produced. I've had higher airflow heaters, but the element can't keep up with the fan, and precious available watts are used up pushing lukewarm air around!
