The Mastercraft 8 x 12 x 1/16" SAE Carpenter Square features an epoxy finish with permanently stamped gradations for improved readability and ease of use. The gradations of this framing square are marked in SAE, but other units and notations are available.The square’s epoxy finish provides it with additional resistance to rust and other forms of damage over time, while its durable steel body allows it to more easily resist the likes of scratches or impacts. All in all, this Mastercraft carpenter square can provide a convenient solution for woodworking, carpentry, and countless other applications.

Strong usefully-sized right angle

Very pleased with the practical size and strength of this thing, it's not going to warp or end up in the wrong shape in anyway. I've got one that's two or three times the size, very useful for the occasional job but unwieldy for many others. The inside right angle has a semi-circle carve-out in case you were hoping for a sharp corner there, something to be mindful of. And I had to scratch the heck out of the sticker that was afixed and it has left an unappealing gluey residue, but hey it's a tool it's fine.

Square came with huge sticker over the scale portion, was difficult to remove and once it was all removed it changed the surface finish in the sticker area.
