quick release tension lever broke off on first change.

I got this about a year ago on sale. didn't get a chance to use it till this year. worked great for about 45 min. I had to change the sand paper as it was ripping. I pulled the tension release and it snapped right off. it's just a piece of plastic, probably should have made that a bit more heavy duty. good thing there is a 3 year warranty.
I'm not sure how long the motor would last as I only could use it for 45 min, dust bag wasn't very good. adjustable front handle was nice.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Je viens d'acheter cette ponceuse à bande et je trouve que c'est un très bon appareil.
Légère, à vitesse variable, bande facile à ajuster, c'est idéal pour des petits travaux et non pas pour sabler des planchers. Le collecteur de poussières fait bien son travail, mais je vais devoir en ramasser quand même autour de mon poste de travail. Le seul défaut que je lui trouve c'est que les 2 papiers sablés qui viennent avec font une légère bosse là où le papier vient faire sa boucle. Je crois que j'ai fait un très bon achat pour l'usage que j'en fais.

Q: The sander has performed well but it appears the brushes need replacing (sparking near armature). Do you sell or can you recommend replacement brushes

A: sometimes there is 'normal' sparking; possible brush has become stuck in its chute, and needs to be cleaned of graphite blocking its path. If this is not the repair, replace both brushes.

A: Not much. You don't notice much weight on horizontal surfaces but it can get tiring on vertical surfaces.
