1/2 in electric impact wrench.

The impact wrench functioned well except that torque was not enough to remove some wheel bolts that had been over torqued during installation at a vehicle service shop. Most of the bolts that could not be loosened with a breaker bar, were removed with the electric impact wrench. The final few bolts required the use of an air driven impact wrench. The rocker switch action for forward / reverse operation was convenient.

Stopped working after 1 tire change

Picked this up in July to do a tire change at home. I managed to get my summers on with one use of the wrench, but when I tried to use it a 2nd time yesterday to swap to my winters, I encountered the same issue as many others: the motor spins it, but any resistance applied results in it stopping cold, spinning in place. Fortunately it was still under warranty, so I returned it and got the next 8.5a model up...which was on sale, so Canadian Tire ended up paying me $41 back to take the (hopefully) upgraded impact wrench.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Impact wrench will not engage. Just spins.

Impact wrench has quit working. Just spins but will not engage . Says lifetime warranty. Manufacture date of 18/09/01 on the label. Has not been used very much. Just used for annual changeover of tires. Number on wrench is # 054-4275-4

A: Bonjour, le couple de cette Clé à chocs (054-4275-4) est de 350ft-lb. Le couple approprié peut différer selon le type ou la taille du boulon, le matériau de la pièce à fixer, etc. Avec diverses fixations, il faut noter la durée du temps d'impact pour atteindre le couple désiré. Aussi, la fixation sera endommagée si la clé à chocs n'est pas à un angle correct ou si elle est trop serrée. Merci.

A: Yes. I have used this tool for tires on vw Jetta quite often. It helps though that you religiously use anti- seize grease on the lugs. This tool has plenty of power.

A: It can be used for any car tires. Please mind that the locking torque of the car tire is less than the maximum torque(350 ft-lb) of this tool.
