Have had the kit out twice and no issues. Used once on aluminum and once on steel. No broken taps here but if you read, it has been an issue.

ive had this set for 2 or 3 years now and im extremely happy with it. has every size ive ever needed so far in my household and automotive needs. cant beat it for the price point, especially when on sale!
obviously this set probably wont hold up in a professional machine shop application, but for a joe blow like myself doing things in my home garage its great!

Do not buy

I got these when they were on a great sale but it quickly became obvious why they could sell so cheaply. Of the three times I've had to pull one of these taps out, they snapped like twigs.
Every one that has broken has been replaced by just a cheap one and none of those have ever broken.
Lifetime guarantee, indeed.

Maybe missing sizes, and metal of taps seems soft.

Got this set on sale, to clean out bolt holes while replacing the cylinder head on the car. For the first bolt hole I wanted to clean, the set was missing the tap with the size/ pitch that was needed. Fortunately, I had also planned on using Q-tips and acetone, and I found that this was almost all that was needed for the job I was doing.
I did however end up using a tap to clean 1 of the bolt holes on the aluminum head that had some binding, even after cleaning with Q-tips and acetone, so this set did see some use. Wish I got the 76-piece or 86-piece set, though.
No, I do not recommend this product.
