Bolt out Damaged Bolt/Nut remover

Just bought this 10 min ago. Had a half inch nut that was rusted on from a corroded battery box. Spent 1.5 hours trying everything, and further damaging the nut! Saw this set on sale at Canadian Tire and and thought "why not"! Wow!! It took two good turns and that nut was coming off! Amazing!!! And I showed the removed nut to my wife, she thought I was kidding because it so damaged. Excellent product!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Heat till red then use this

These worked great and backed off some "nuts" that I thought were totally gone. Make sure to heat the nuts red hot before trying to break them free. My only complaints are, I wish the extractor had a 3/8 drive connector and that the largest extractor is 1/2" ... i think a 5/8" extractor would make this set perfect

Yes, I recommend this product.

Fantastic all around product

Fantastic tool for most jobs. Use to remove exhaust manifold on my Civic. Got 3/4 of the nuts I couldn't get off (impact chiseled the last one). This is a must have tool if you plan on doing your own car maintenance.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Simple tools to get the job done right

If you do not have a larger set up to vibrate a stubborn / rusty / seized nut / bolt loose with an air hammer, this is a cost effective way to get the job done, I've used this set more than once with great results.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This product worked great.

This product worked great. The oil pan plug was stripped and I was able to get it out using one of these sockets. Couldn't ask for more. If you have a damaged bolt or nut, you need a product like this.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Can this be used to remove lug locks? I bought a used vehicle and the previous owner had lost the lug key. I'd like to take off the locks before I have an emergency and am stranded because I don't have the key.

Q: The round rod? Can you please tell me what the round rod is for in the box? Thanxs!

1 Answer
  • A: The round rod is for dislodging a nut that’s stuck inside the bolt remover. When you’re removing rusted nuts and bolts, this product digs into the metal to loosen and remove it. When the rusted nut comes off, it’s often stuck in the bolt remover. You use this rod to poke through the hole in the back of the bolt remover and dislodge the rusted nut.

Q: size question I was wondering why the 1/2 socket seemed much smaller than the 12mm one. Is is just because of the picture or is there something I'm missing?

  • A: 1/2 is bigger than 12mm. On website, maybe with the different angle, it looks different.
