This thing rips. If you use it to do up a bolt it rips it in half. I would only recommend it for undoing bolts. It even sounds beast!
Yes, I recommend this product.

more power than expected
It has a lot more power than the older version and had no problem taking off lug nuts torqued to 80ft-lbs and multiple honda staked axle nuts torqued over 130ft-lbs. Not sure I would buy it for the full price but for the sale price you can't buy anything else like it I think. Made a video so you can see it in action. The motor is a little rough on mine but it has a great warranty so not worried. There are some bolts it would not take off but neither would a much more expensive air impact I tried.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Very powerful

Despite few/some not so good reviews and after reading many good reviews I decided to try it on my next DIY: replacing the two front CV axles (or drive shafts) The 5 lugs on each wheel were as expected, but when I tried the center axle big twelve points nut (for VW anyways) It did surprised me, it was released without too much trouble. No need to say that I used it to release every other nut/bults in the process. I would recommend it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Torque - How to tell if torque is right
Great reviews and all used to change their tires which would be a primary use to owning this tool. My question is do you also need a torque wrench to determine ft pounds or does the impact wrench come with a torque setting?

A: You need a torque wrench. NEVER use an impact to tighten lug nuts. You may over tighten them and snap the wheel stud. You can either use a torque wrench, torque stick to use with the impact or get the Mastercraft impact with the digital torque gauge. Product #54-1265-6.

Q: Product #54-1216-4 - is the torque adjustable?
Why some of these answers keep mentioning about the torque of this tool is set to 80 ft-lbs or so. I thought this tool is featured with 220 ft-lbs as what the product description says. Is the torque of this tool can be adjusted?

A: The torque isn't adjustable. But depending on how much you press the trigger, you can adjust the torque that way.

Q: Changing Tires 2011 Oddyssey
First time DIY switching tires between snow and all season for my new 2011 Oddysey. I'm thinking of getting this tool, I will double check with the manual if this has sufficient torque for the job. Any tips and tricks would be much appreciated.

A: I just bought this impact wrench and as long as your lug bolts/nuts are properly torqued, you should be fine. Even if they are over-torqued, just use a breaker bar the first time to break the torque and as long as you use this tool to install the nuts/bolts, you should be fine going forward.

Q: Mfg Date code? The plastic piece to hold in the motor bushings broke off.
Is there a mfg date code on this label to show it's within the 3 years warranty? I'm thinking bottom right "1338" means 2013 and the 38th week.

A: Possible, however we don't use that for warranty purposes. You must provide the receipt in order for Canadian Tire to apply the 3 year warranty.

Q: Is it normal for screwdriver attachment to wobble
I have trouble using this for putting in screws using the adapter for the driver heads. It causes so much wobble the screw inevitably pops off the driver head and falls to the ground. Is this expected or is there a problem with mine?
