Air filter is broken.

The compressor was either a return or it was damaged in transit. The box looked pretty rough and repackaged with lots of packing tape. The only damage to the unit was the air filter was broken. I’m not sure if there was supposed to be a hose but none was included so I haven’t actually tried it out. It seems to run really good though.

I bought 1 of these 4.5 years ago to use with my hobby greenhouse automatically controlled windows (I have an earlier review after I bought the first one). Other than blowing a check valve months later (& replaced with a new check valve) It's been working great for my needs. I see now that it's on 'clearance' & bought this as a spare (assuming that 'clearance' means 'soon gone forever'. I'm happy with this style & didn't want a smaller or larger compressor if the original fails.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Would this unit be suitable to run a blower nozzle on occasion? It’s only needed to inflate tires and clean an air filter or blow off a lawn mower deck, etc. No air powered tools. Is a 3 gallon tank large enough?

Q: Does this work well to inflate towables (i.e. tubes to be pulled behind a boat)? I know it can be used for this purpose, I'm just wondering if it works well for this purpose. Thanks!

A: No, these types of compressors are low scfm, an air pump (fan) would be your best option. Volume is the key. I have 12 volt and 120 volt pumps for air mattress and kayak which work great, pumps are also smaller and cheap. Check Amazon

A: The Mastercraft 3 gallon air compressor does not come with any accessories. The compressor weighs 40 lbs (18.1 kilograms). The hose would need to be bought separately.

Q: This is a non-technical question. I see in my local store that this compressor (058-1290-6) is on sale & marked 'Clearance'. Does it mean that it is a discontinued product & unavailable in the future? I couldn't get clarification from the staff.

A: Thank you for your question! This compressor provides 3 SCFM at 40PSI and 2 SCFM at 90PSI. Please check the requirements of the paint spray gun you will use and if it requires the same or less SCFM as noted, this compressor can handle the project.
