Good for its price and occaisional use.

Bought this type about 10 years ago (universal one-piece for two burner unit). It is breaking apart this year. We used the barbeque approximately 15 times a summer. It was installed in a Fiesta Spacemaker, that was stored under a barbeque cover and the house eaves, outside over winter, in Vancouver. This year the burner body has small rust holes in the top near the centre, one of the extendable propane tubes tore at its connection with the burner body, and the coupler that that tube ties to, leaks propane between the body and the coupler. Because of the leaks under the burner, flames emanate from there upward from the bottom of the burner. These are inexpensive thin steel units with extendable propane pipes of foil over a fine wire coil. I had no expectations that it would last very long, so I am happy that it lasted as long as it did. I will buy another one and maybe the whole barbeque will die together in five years or so.

warning for now: missing one #10 5x8 metal screw. Should count that all parts are there. The packaging was original, so can't say that this was a mistake in repacking (at least doesn't look like it)

Q: would this fit coleman powerhouse 45 grill? Also looking for a burner cover. I bougt this BBQ at CT almost 11 years ago?

A: Finding the correct replacement burner for older gas grills can be tricky. Luckily Grill Care universal fit burners cover an incredibly wide range of models. Step 1) remove your old heat plate and burner from the grill. Measure the heat plate depth and width; most universal replacement heat plates state on the packaging their minimum and maximum adjustable width and depth which should make it easy to find the best one. Step 2) measure the width of the burner head and note the burner style. Most gas grills will have one of the following; bar burner (like the burner in question), H style burner (has an "H" shape), or tube burner (run front to back, most common on newer grills, tube shape). Step 3) measure the venturi tubes and take note of where they come out of the burner head, it will indicate where you have to mount the venturis on the new burner. About the 85-1677-2 20" bar burner: The burner head is 19.5" x 3.5" but it can replace many bar style burner heads larger than that size. It's designed to perform "ports up" or "ports down"; again compare it to the burner you are removing, some burners have the gas ports facing up, most face down. It also has completely flexible venturis that extend from 5.5" to 10". If the burner seems too big try item #85-1364-6. Once you've purchased the burner, the instructions explain everything that I've covered here with illustrations, most importantly remember to assemble the burner to mirror the burner that is being replaced as closely as possible.
