Very difficult to assemble

My 73 year old father bought this for himself. After 3 days of trying to assemble, I came over to try. I have assembled a lot of things in my time. I am very handy and mechanically inclined. The instructions are very poor. The screw heads strip very easily. The pre-attached threaded nuts inside the pieces come loose making it impossible to further tighten or remove screws. Very difficult to differentiate which screw goes where. My father is now stuck with a partially assembled BBQ. Not sure what to do.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Has it for 9 days and well I’ve had a small Problem

So I bought this bbq 8 days ago had a small problem the transmission kind of broke easy fix though if you look close at the pic you will see the long screw that sticks out that lowers and raises the transmission well the metal plate that it goes against came loose and all it needs is a rivet not a big deal. Other then that it seems great . I’ve seen reviews where people complained about rain getting into it I haven’t had that issue then again I cover the stack with a coffee can

Great design, cheap materials

Very convenient, well though design. Materials are a horror - cheap tin-like metal. The charcoal tray burned and rotted to the dust within two seasons. I would buy this thing for $100 more if it had proper metal - why damage the brand reputation that hard? Now Master Chef is not in my buy list, sorry.

Un vrai casse-tete chinois a monté et très fragile, mauvaise qualité des matériaux et plan d'assemblage fait par un enfant de 5 ans, pas très bon en dessin. Youtube donnait de meilleur instructions. Déjà, acheté dimanche et retourné 1 pièce maitresse le mardi. La poigné comme le commentaire précédent. PS Précédent commentaire a été refusé car négatif... A: yes/no. results are not as good as a real smoker however, as a real smoker will hold the smoke in better. This unit REALLY SHINES as a charcoal BBQ and I highly recommend it. The adjustable dampers and the chimney are just awesome features for controlling the heat/smoke flavor.

A: Out of the box? no. But I m sure with a few simple tools (drill etc.) and bit of mechanical aptitude/perseverance one could make it work. Even without a rotisserie this BBQ is GREAT!!!

A: Yes! But make sure you invest the $20-ish dollars for a decent cover! I keep mine covered whenever it rains/snows and it has held up very well. Second year with this unit now and we use it a LOT! (sometimes 7 days/week in the spring/summer/fall months. Best charcoal BBQ I've ever owned. I did a LOT of research before choosing this over a kettle style and others. NO REGRETS.
