A: Cold isn’t usually a problem for freezers. Mine is in a trailer at the beach in Manitoba that isn’t heated in the winter. The possibility of -40 C or less is normal and it has to be in a dry building/shed (electric motor and compressor inside). But, it’s also not working in the winter.

A: I bought one and it says in the manual AC 115 V -60Hz 100W for the 3.5. It uses an ordinary 3-prong plug, not a heavy stove plug. Sorry I don't know a lot about electricity but I hope that helped.
