Voltage converter doesn’t work properly

If there was less than one star I would give it that rating! We used it on a hair straightener & it didn’t convert properly, the straightener got too much voltage & is fried. Don’t buy this product for use in Europe!

Q: The package says HI mode covers 26~1800 Watt appliances. How about a coffee machine of 970 watt?

A: The instructions warn against use with electronic appliances or any appliances equipped with timers or automatic functions. This likely eliminates a coffee maker if it has a timer or any automatic function. We only recommend using our converters with “travel” branded appliances to avoid damage to the appliance and the converter.

A: Our CONVERTERS are designed for "travel" branded products, such as a travel iron, travel steamer, travel shaver, etc. These products use a different heating element than regular electronic appliances. We have had people have success using converters with other types of electronics, but over time it is possible that it will damage both products, so please understand we do not recommend using anything besides "travel" branded products with our converters. -ADAPTERS can be used alone if you do not need to convert energy. You are simply changing the plug type to go into the wall for example. Please just double check your appliance and/or the voltage where you are using it to see if this is a possibility without altering the voltage. -If you want to convert energy for electronics other than "travel" products, you should use a STEP DOWN TRANSFORMER (ML3983GY – SKU 762349 - 60 WATT TRANSFORMER) or similar product. These are used for long term usage for items like a laptop, battery charger, or cell phone for example. (Please note that many items nowadays are already dual voltage items and may not need energy conversion. It is very important to check with the packaging, instructions, or the manufacturer of the product itself to see if this is the case, as you would then only need an adapter to use the product)
