Product Details
The Kidde 21027904 Smoke Alarm is an AC/DC powered, ionization smoke alarm that operates on a 120V power source with sealed-in lithium battery backup. The i12010SCA contains a 10-year tamper proof battery that eliminates the need for battery replacement, and ends worry over unauthorized battery removal. The alarm provides continuous protection from smoke and fire, even during power outages. At the end of alarm life, the unit will chirp, indicating the alarm is in need of replacement.

It worked for only a few weeks ... then it started going off when nothing was going on around it (no dust no steam, no smoke, no motion, no anything). So I returned it.

A: This is the Kidde model i12010S-CA, hardwired smoke ionization alarm with 10 year worry free battery back up. (Not sure about the website layout as it is run by Canadian Tire themselves)

Q: Can these units be tied together in a house, so when 1 alarm goes it set's the other units off?

A: Yes. All of the Kidde hardwired alarms can be interconnected up to a maximum of 18 units initiating and an additional 6 devices such as relays and strobe lights.
