Roomba Awesomeness

When I first saw one of these a few years back, I thought, just another fly-by-night gimmick that would be junk. Was I ever wrong. I always check reviews on a product before buying and when I saw the 4.5 out of 5.0 rating for this and all the positive comments, I decided to buy. Unbelievable what this thing cleans up off the floor and I program it to clean up once a day. Dog fur is history !!! I was a skeptic. Not anymore. Can't go wrong. Only downside - small storage area for dirt and have to empty it after each use. If you own pets, you'll absolutely love this. Dog/cat fur is significantly reduced. Do yourself a favor and get one. You wont be disappointed.

Well I was disappointed. Maybe I ask to much but for sure there is a lot of noise and less of job. So a returned it back.

It’s a great vacuum but the dust cup is small. The suction won’t pick up cat litter. The dust cup is small. It will fill up with cat hair fast and will spit out dust bunny’s from underneath the beds.

Was skeptical... but I love it!

Biyght this as it was on sale, and heard good reviews from friends. Was worried that it would not keep up with the amount of dirt and pet hair that is in our house, but it does! Sometimes it will take a couple "tries" to get it all... but if that means that I do not have to sweep/vacuum, I am all in! It is very easy to clean and disassemble. Very pleased with my investment!

Q: Since the 630 has to be manually started can it go back to the charger, charge and then finish the cleaning? If t runs low on battery life does it finish the rest of the house next time out does it do the spots missed the previous time?

A: Best Guess, is NO. Once you turn it off; or the CUBE off, it will re-start the whole program. But if it is fully charged, it should run for 2-2.5 hours. Which should be plenty of time to do a designated area. I section my mopping off. I manually block it so it's only working on 600-700 sq' at a time.

Q: Is the iRobot Roomba 630 programmable to clean at specified times?

A: The answer to this questions is actually NO. The Roomba 630 is not programmable. It only has an on/off function. If you read closely, you need to get the 650 for the programmable option.

Q: Will the 630 automatically sense floor type? Under features it states: iRobot Roomba® 630 Vacuum will clean a variety of floors in your home with a simple push of a button Does this mean it will not sense what floor it is on and you have to push a button to select carpet or hardwood?

A: Roomba returns to the Home Base at the end of a cleaning cycle or when its battery is running low. (copied from owners manual). Mine cleans quickly so I just "dock" it manually (pressing the dock button).

Q: Uneven floors I have about a 1/2" - 1" lip from kitchen to living room, wondering if this will be a problem?

A: I am not sure if 1" would be too high, I think it might, but we have a 1/2" lip from kitchen to a set of stairs and he drives up it easily and cleans the step. Mine is the 630 model.

A: My Vacuum cleaner is louder than the I Robot Roomba 630. I can talk on the phone watch television when the Roomba is running . I let it go from room to as I am cleaning other areas noise is not an issue with this product.

Q: Hi, does anyone know whether this can be used for countries with 220V standard?

A: “Our Home Base for the Roomba 652 is dual voltage meaning it can be used on 110v-220v. Canada uses a 120v electric system. The correct plug would need to be used if the robot is being used in another country. Please note the warranty on the robot would be voided if purchased in Canada and used in a different country. “
