    Awesome boats

This is our second time buying these little boats for our swimming pool. It’s just the right size for two-three kids or one adult. We would probably take to the lake as well.

    Explorer blowup boat

The Explorer 200 pool boat is fun. I blew it up by using my lungs for the hull and a small pump for the floor. I named the boat, Cricket. I hope to be able to use the Explorer boat in a pool or maybe in a lake in the summertime. I think it would be fun to just float in, for relaxation, on a warm, sunny summer day.

    Incredibly durable

Bought 2 of these last year for a pool party not expecting much and with 7 kids (teens to young adults) trouncing on these, seriously abused, they both survived and are currently in the pool this year. Fantastic! Also used upside down as lounger!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

You get what you pay for

I recently bought 2 of these. It states you can't use an electronic air compressor and cold air only via pump. Well I tired an air compressor I got form a blow up mattress and it didn't work, I then tried a hand pump and it didn't work, finally i blew it up myself and had more success. The thing is incredibly frustrating to inflate. Also it states it seats one adult and one child. More like one child or one slim adult, otherwise it becomes unstable, with heavy weight your butt sinks down, or folds in half at the center (allowing for water to get in). It is also unstable if you have too much weight at the sides allowing it to turn over. On first use after testing it once in my son's lounge pool, the boat already started to deflate a bit. In addition, the material did get quite hot in the sun. I would not buy this boat again for anything other than a play float for my son who is 4. I wouldn't feel secure about being out in a lake anymore than a little past the shoreline. I tried to attach a photo but apparently the file is "too large"

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I have a pump but what nozzle does this boat use?

    1 Answer
    • A: Thanks for your question. If you purchase one of our quick-fill pumps, the nozzles will fit the Explorer 200 boat. Otherwise, the pump you use should be high-volume and low pressure so as not to over inflate the product or cause it to rupture. The nozzle has to be long and narrow enough to fit through the valve and push back the plastic flat that keeps it from deflating inside. Please don't hesitate to give us a call at 800-234-6839 should you have further questions.

Q: Why does the Canadian Tire online description say that it has 3 air chambers, when the box only says 2 and the boat only has 2?

    1 Answer
    • A: Unfortunately, Intex would not be able to answer this question. The information on the packaging should be correct. Any question about copy written on a vendor website should be referred to the retailer.

Q: Does it come with oars?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi Amanda. Thank you for your interest in our product. Intex manufactures two different Explorer 200 Inflatable Boats sets. Our Intex Explorer 200 Set (item #59623) comes with a set of French oars and a Handheld High-Output Pump. Our Standard Explorer 200 (item number 58356ep) includes only the inflatable boat. Intex would recommend contacting Canadian Tire to determine which of the two boat sets they have for sale as the item number is not listed on the retailers website.
