I bought this product to seal the vent pipes on my gas burning free standing fireplace. It’s supposed to be black but after one use the gasket material turns white. What garbage. It totally ruined the look of my fireplace.

Q: Can this product be used to adhere the insulating bricks inside of a wood burning stove to the walls of the stove. Several bricks have fallen off and need to be stuck back up? Thanks

A: Yes, the Stove & Fireplace Cement from Imperial Manufacturing is formulated to repair the firebrick on the inside of woodstoves. It is also used to adhere the fiberglass gasketing around the stove door. Resists temperatures up to 1093 Celsius.

Q: could this product be used to fix a 1/16 inch gap in my wood stove, which separted where it was joined during manufacture

A: Yes, the Stove & Gasket Cement can be used to repair a small gap in a woodstove. Due to the expansion & contraction of woodstoves from the heat, the cement may crack over time and have to be replaced.
